My name:
Tara Lynch (aka Gui-TARA).

Current job is:
Guitarist, Vocalist, Songwriter.

My hometown:
Los Angeles.

Current album or project is:
“Evil Enough”.

Former bands:
I’m a solo artist.

My guitar influences growing up were:
Michael Schenker, Uli Jon Roth, Steve Vai, Vinnie Moore, Tony MacAlpine, Tony Iommi and Yngwie Malmsteen to name a few!

The guitars I use are:
Customized Ernie Ball Silhouette Special, Dean, Gibson.

The strings and tuning I use are: Strings:
Standard tuning, Ernie Ball stainless steel hybrids.

Current rig setup consists of:
Diezel, Friedman & Marshall amps.

The greatest invention for guitars is
the strap! Haha.

My normal songwriting process consists of:
thinking about what I have to say and just saying it passionately thru my melodies and lyrics.

Favorite all-time guitar solo from our band:
impossible to choose.

Favorite all-time guitar solo from another artist:
Michael Schenker “Into the Arena”.

Favorite all-time song (any artist) is:
Impossible but the Scorpions “Coast to Coast” comes to mind.

Favorite song by our band:
I can’t choose a favorite among my children....I wrote them all!

Favorite song to perform in front of a live audience:
I’ll let you know after this first tour for Evil Enough.

My Career highlight thus far is:
Working with so many amazingly talented artists who also happen to be my good friends.

My most embarrassing moment on stage:
I really don’t embarrass. We’re all just humans you know, no one is perfect.

Other than my guitar and amps, the one piece of my gear that I cannot live without is:
my microphone

The first song I ever mastered on guitar:
Led Zeppelin “Over the Hills & Far Away”

My first guitar was:
a horrible Gibson SG knock-off.

The first time I ever heard our band on the radio was:
a terrestrial radio station in Michigan.

If I am only sure of one thing in life, It's:
I’m absolutely meant to do this.

The one ritual I always perform prior to going on stage is:
warm up guitars & vocals.

The exact moment I knew I would pursue a career in music was:
when I sat my family down and said “so I’ve decided to go ok with this?” They said “yes” and that was it.

The one thing most fans don't know about me is:
When I’m not playing my guitar, you’ll find me on the road track racing my Ferrari F430. I’m a hobby racer.

The best advice I could give beginning guitarists:
do what you FEEL, not what they say.

Music/Band(s) I'm listening to right now:
AC/DC Back in Black...that never gets old!!

My 3 all-time favorite albums:
Megadeth “Countdown to Extinction,” Yngwie Malmsteen’s “Rising Force” and Scorpions “Love Drive” and Black Sabbath greatest hits album so I can get all their best in one place! Oops...that was 4. Hehehe

Best gig:
Gig in the Sky...a little Pink Floyd reference there....all gigs are great!

Favorite junk food:
Baskin-Robbins rocky road baby!

An American Musical Supply Exclusive Buyer's Guide

My biggest pet peeve:

The word or catch phrase I say too much is:
"are you f&@king kidding me?! "

The hardest part of my job:

What I like to do in my "off" time:
race my car.

The first thing I do when I come home from touring is:
I’ll let you know later but I imagine I’ll probably squeeze my kids and puppies till they all faint. .

Previous or first day job:

Right after this interview I'm going to:
I'm going to: a meeting regarding tour planning.

I couldn't imagine being on the road without:
coffee & berries.

If I wasn't doing the musician thing, I could really see myself working as:
A massage tester for all the five star spas in the world.

Favorite movie:
Coming to America

My mission in life:
Rock till I drop!

My guilty pleasure band or artist:
there is no such thing as a guilty pleasure. If I’m moved, I’m moved. I don’t care who or what it is!

My next goal is:
to tour on evil enough as long as I can and then on to recording album number two.

The greatest contribution guitars/music have brought into my life is:
pure joy with no strings attached

The one musician I would love to work with that I have not yet had the chance would be:
Michael Schenker.

If I could have three wishes, they would be:
For me & my loved one’s to always be strong, healthy and happy, to spend the rest of my life sharing my music with the world and to be able to eat whatever I want with no negative health impact.

When it's all said and done, I want the world to remember me for:
Living the life I wanted to live, staying true to myself, following my dreams and leaving behind empowering music for all to enjoy and relate to.
